Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Master Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and electronic testing tools.Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, including Paccar, Cummins, and plete in-frame engine repairs, DPF service, and troubleshoot electrical systems (lights, brakes, etc.).Service and repair vehicle fleets, including tractor-trailers, ensuring compliance with safety standards like air brake systems.Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as tire service, alignment checks, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs, HVAC servicing, and general vehicle maintenance.Conduct welding repairs on aluminum and steel (a plus).Must have flexibility to make possible overnight service calls.Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance needs.Perform heavy lifting safely during equipment repairs or installations while following proper safety procedures.ExperienceProven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair.Strong knowledge of diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques, including welding and soldering, is highly desirable.Skilled in in-frame engine work, DPF systems, brakes, lighting, and AC repair.Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring mechanical expertise.Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong mechanical knowledge across various systems like transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, and air brakes.Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship.Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain technical issues effectively.
