Come join a100% employee-owned companyfocused on customer outcomes and employee successWhat is the Commission Specialist responsible for that will make an impact:Managing the end-to-end distributor-related commissions process.Assisting in forecasting commission receivables for planning and cash flow purposes. Ensuring compliance with Emerson's commission guidelines.Processing commission bookings accurately and in accordance with company policies.Recording commission earnings and reconciling with payments.Analyzing sales data and commission calculations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.Collaborating with Experitec Sales and Emerson teams to resolve commission discrepancies and improve processes.Maintaining accurate records, document workflows, and recommend process improvements.The Commission Specialist is a part of our Finance team within Order Fulfillment and would partner with our Sales and Engineering Services teams.We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commission Specialist to focus on commissions management, systems expertise, and expense classifications. This role involves ensuring commissions are captured accurately. The position will foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement while performing key commission operations. We believe in giving our employees the resources they need to succeed to reach their peak performance.Required Skills, Experience & AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.Five or more years of relevant experience (which may include Internships).Strong attention to detail with high standard of accuracy and speed.Ability to accurately compute commission calculations and payments.Proven success in strong analytical thinking, critical problem-solving, and process improvement.Ability to research, interpret data, and optimize outcomes.Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and issue resolution.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and communicate financial information to non-financial managers.Ability to utilize an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook email.Prior experience working efficiently and effectively within business systems and technically adept with computer applications.Advanced proficiency in Excel to extract both detailed and summary information, manipulate formulas across multiple worksheets, and cross-reference data.Ability to participate collaboratively in projects.An entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team.Ability to work onsite in the office Monday-Friday from 8am - 5pm for approximately one month of training then shifting to hybrid schedule in office 3 days per week with core hours 9am-3pm.Preferred Skills, Experience & AbilitiesTwo or more years of experience with distributor-related commission processing.Ten or more years of general business experience.Strong experience creating and editing standards of procedure and process documentation.Two or more years of business consulting background.Three or more years of prior experience utilizing an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.One or more years of experience working with clients and/or vendor commission data.Two or more years of prior experience utilizing financial software or accounting system for data entry, reporting and decision making.One or more years of experience identifying and recommending process improvements for better efficiency, accuracy and operational decision making.Prior experience utilizing IFS (Industrial & Financial Systems) software.Technically adept with computer applications and motivated to identify and implement improvements in business systems.Two or more years of prior experience with order entry.Prior experience as a Business Analyst working on commission data and reporting.Prior experience reviewing commission calculations and reporting.What does Experitec do?As an Emerson Impact Partner, we have the exclusive right to sell and service Emerson Automation Solutions' products in our defined territory.
