Southern Hobby Distribution is seeking a strategic, results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead the growth and commercial expansion of our hobby distribution business across North America. This newly created role will shape the next stage of Southern Hobby's evolution by building a high-performing sales organization, strengthening publisher and vendor relationships, and driving revenue through both established and emerging channels.The VP Sales will partner cross functionally to represent Southern Hobby with publishers, licensors, and manufacturers"”aligning sales and purchasing strategies to maximize market opportunities and strengthen our position as a premier hobby and collectibles distributor.Key Responsibilities:Sales Leadership & StrategyLead, mentor, and scale the Southern Hobby sales organization, establishing strategic goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks that align with corporate revenue and profitability objectives.Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for all Southern Hobby distribution channels, including hobby retail, e-commerce, mass, and emerging markets.Create a long-range sales plan that supports company growth, customer expansion, and increased market penetration.Publisher & Vendor Partnership ManagementServe as a senior commercial representative to publishers, studios, licensors, and key vendors"”co-leading all strategic conversations with the EVP of Purchasing.Negotiate contracts, pricing, programs, and service-level agreements to optimize margin, product availability, and channel performance.Strengthen vendor collaboration by aligning sales programs with purchasing forecasts, product roadmaps, and promotional initiatives.Cross-Functional AlignmentPartner with operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure sales strategies are supported by inventory planning, customer programs, and operational execution.Support coordinated product launches, promotions, and category initiatives to maximize sell-through and customer engagement.Provide executive-level insights using sales data, market trends, and customer performance to inform strategic decisions.Business Development & Channel ExpansionIdentify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, including new accounts, channel partnerships, and underdeveloped customer segments.Lead customer acquisition strategy while strengthening relationships with top accounts to improve retention, profitability, and program participation.Sales Organization DevelopmentBuild a high-performance, results-driven sales culture focused on accountability, customer value, and continuous improvement.Develop leadership capabilities within the team, ensuring strong succession planning, coaching, and professional development.Implement sales processes, tools, and technologies to support scaling the organization and improving customer experience.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in distribution, consumer products, hobby/collectibles, or related industries.Demonstrated success leading multi-region or remote sales teams with strong engagement, accountability, and performance outcomes.Proven experience negotiating publisher/vendor agreements, channel programs, or distribution contracts.Strong strategic and analytical skill set, with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and financial insights to guide decisions.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities with clarity and precision.LI-Remote
