Field Service Mechanic

Arcosa Aggregates is hiring for the position of a Field Service Mechanic for our Franklinton, LA plant on day shift. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing workflow efficiency, maintaining accurate records, resolving mechanical issues, and promoting a safe and productive work environment through effective communication and adherence to company policies.Applicant must have heavy equipment knowledge and verifiable experience, be organized, and understand engine repair, component repair, truck repair and CAT equipment. Day to DayDiagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble and service equipment as assigned by the supervisorMaintain clean work area, care for all shop tools, machines, and equipmentFollow all safety rules and regulations, including MSHA, while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company policiesPerform all duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient mannerMaintain all maintenance and repairs needed and keep accurate recordsMaintain consistent flow of work in a timely mannerEnsure quality, compliance and safety of company's assets and personnelCapable of resolving issues as they ariseOversee documentation of machine information and repairs completed including parts and fluidsTroubleshoot equipment issuesBe able to communicate with management, drivers and to function as a team leaderActively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognitionComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operatorsPerform other duties or responsibilities as assigned About YouValid Driver's License Applicant must have strong organizational skills to be able to keep up with multiple projects at a time and know where they always stand.Extensive knowledge of all aspects of heavy equipment and repairAbility to read service/repair manuals, and work ordersComputer skillsPrompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, Team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working on heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment-preferredWorking ConditionsMust be able to meet all MSHA safety requirements and adhere to company safety policies.While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.Typical work schedule consists of daytime hours Monday through Friday, may be required to work overtime.
