The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's payer and client-initiated audit activities. Direct accountability includes working closely with the Compliance team to support the execution of payer audit investigations and resulting corrective actions.Key Responsibilities:o Investigate and coordinate comprehensive and timely responses to internal and external payer and client-initiated auditso Enter and update all audit details on the audit trackero Prepare summaries for management of audits received and the resultso Based on audits prepare supporting documentation requests for process and/or system configuration changes to improve deficiencieso Coordinate recoupment efforts with billing company due to billing errors and/or over paymentso Communicate directly with patients/POA's/clients/insurance companies to resolve any questions or concerns that may arise regarding billing auditso Serve as a trusted revenue cycle audit compliance partner to operational, legal, compliance, information technology, and other teamso Stay up to date on revenue cycle and regulatory requirements associated with governmental, managed care, and commercial payersQualifications:Required:Associate's degree in healthcare or equivalent combination of education and experience2-4 years of experience in healthcare care auditingAbility to relate well to all kinds of people, up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organizationStrong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDriveExceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data, identify patterns, and draw conclusionsStrong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsCertified Professional Coder (CPC)Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)Preferred:Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC)
