As a member of Kuros Biosciences US commercial team the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will work closely with the Area Sales Director (ASD) to develop and implement plans to maximize regional sales of Kuros' products in their given region. The RSM will manage their region through individual efforts and by assisting the ASD to recruit, train and manage a network of independent distributors. In addition, but not limited to, the RSM will manage their region through individual efforts and by assisting the ASD to recruit new orthopedic and neurosurgeons. This is a full-time, remote position within the assigned region of Upstate New York and Rhode Island.RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to)Achieve sales quotas set by the ASD, both independently and through distribution channelsCreate and execute plan to drive surgeon and distributor adoption of Kuros Biosciences best in class bone graft solutionsDevelop long-lasting surgeon and distributor relationshipsSeen as consultative resource on bone biology to surgeon and distributors in areaIdentify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with the Value Analysis/Purchasing Committees of Hospitals, ASCs, other relevant medical facilities to participate in their RFP processesAssist ASD in the recruitment/management of independent distributorsTraining and support of distributors, including field sales callsMaintain and support current business across region, including attendance of surgical procedures to advise on correct usage of Kuros productsDevelop and implement sales plans to enable targets to be achievedIdentify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders (orthopedic and neurosurgeons) in the regionUncover opportunities which enhance product performance and revenue growthDevelop a strong sustainable pipeline utilizing company CRM and forecasting toolsFollow-up marketing actions and feedback on market campaigns and messagingMaintain industry awareness regarding market trends, competition, product acceptance, and new product releasesCOMMUNICATIONStrong organizational, presentation and communication skillsProvide regular reports on progress and key issues to AVP and colleagues in a timely manner and within agreed frameworkCreate, update, and maintain a customer database and contact recordCarry out presentations to surgeons and/or staffProvide support at key events in USRepresent the company in the best light to all third-party contacts and associatesTEAM WORKINGWork effectively as part of the sales team and with the wider Kuros organization as appropriateMaintain learning and knowledge exchange through regular contact with colleaguesWork to continually improve reputation of Kuros as science driven companyEDUCATION AND CRITICAL SKILLSBachelor's Degree or equivalentClinical background and experience is highly preferredQuantifiable sales record (brag book) for sales related specializations (pharma or device)Must have 2+ years' experience in relevant sales specialization (pharmaceuticals, device and/or other bioscience)Medical or Hospital credentialed preferredSpine / biologics preferredMust have knowledge of hospital RFP process, and VAC pricing experienceMust have experience in OR and relevant product training experiencePrevious working experience with CRM programs is requiredValid driver's license with a clean driving record and adequate insurance coverage requiredUp to 70% travel within territoryMust be able to articulate and execute a complex sale cyclePhysical Requirements and Work ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
