Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking a TacticalRF Sensors Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to be the lead for a team of engineers, in Berkeley, MO, supporting a proprietary Air Dominance Fixed Wing program. You will be joining a fast-paced program where you will be responsible for developing and integrating complex, highly integrated, radio frequency (RF) sensor systems. Your work will include both enhancing existing architectures, with the addition of new capabilities, as well as architecting completely new systems.In this role, you will be joining a cross-functional team integrating next generation capabilities as part of a very exciting and critically important development effort. Your role will be to oversee and coordinate the work of a team of engineers throughout the various stages of the program development life cycle. You will have the opportunity to operate in an agile development environment to mature our products, work on next generation open-architecture model-based designs, and to collaborate across multiple disciplines.The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering, coordinating the daily activity of the engineering team, overseeing and approving technical work, collaborating with cross-functional peers, and presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership. Frequent interaction with program leadership, customers, and industry partners during critical design phases will be key elements of this position. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop their engineering skills with potential growth into a leadership role. Position Responsibilities:Coordinates the daily activity of an engineering team using agile toolsets (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)Provides technical leadership and drives technical excellence for all scope of work within a subsystem teamProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches and engineering of subsystem teamWorks with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirementsAnalyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specificationsTests and validates radio frequency (RF) systems to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirementsManages and monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirementsSolves problems and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycleResearches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needsUtilizes model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for hardware, software, and performance model development. Utilizes MBSE for requirements development, interfaces definition, and traceabilityHardware and software development, integration, test, and validation/verificationRadio frequency (RF) sensor integrationSupplier requirements development, technology evaluation, and integration across multi-disciplined engineering teamsPrototype hardware and software evaluation, lab integration, analysis, and testActs as primary interface between program leadership, suppliers, and customersBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementLevel 3: 5+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical educationLevel 4: 9+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical educationPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):Experience working on tactical RF sensors including radar systems, communication systems, or electronic warfare systemsExperience leading a team of engineersExperience with Department of Defense Certification activitiesExperience working in Cameo or similar model-based systems engineering toolsExperience developing requirements and applicable traceabilityExperience working on development programs using agile/scrum methodologyExperience with lab test and verification activities for RF sensorsConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
