Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner Oncology in Williston, ND Elevate your healthcare career by providing vital oncology services at the prestigious Leonard P. Nelson Cancer Center. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner experienced in medical oncology to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting. What You ll Do: Conduct comprehensive staging workups for oncology patientsFormulate and initiate chemotherapy or immunotherapy treatments in coordination with onsite Radiation Oncology and offsite surgical teamsCollaborate closely with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver seamless careOversee clinical aspects of treatment delivery and infusion proceduresAssist in coordinating patient care across regional health systems such as Trinity Health, Mayo Clinic, and U of MSupport procedures including bone marrow biopsies (experience preferred but not required)Utilize Mosaiq and Meditech EMR systems to document and manage patient informationWork with a highly experienced support staff, including clinic RNs, infusion RNs, and patient advocatesSchedule & Compensation: Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PMMinimum coverage of three days per week, preferred days are Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-ThursdayHourly Rate: $200-$220 for clinical workOrientation: $100-$110 per hour (after 8 hours, applicable for training)Holiday pay: $300-$330 per hour (1.5x the regular hourly rate)Malpractice coverage includedNo overtime pay for hours beyond scheduled timePreferred Skills & Qualifications: Valid ND Nurse Practitioner license and DEA certificationPrior oncology experience, including familiarity with staging, chemotherapy, and immunotherapyExperience with bone marrow biopsies is a plusStrong collaboration and communication skillsComfort working with EMR systems Mosaiq and MeditechNice to Have: Additional experience in hematology/oncology sub-specialtiesBackground working in outpatient oncology clinics or cancer centersProven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamEducational & Professional Requirements: Current Nurse Practitioner license in North DakotaAt least 1 year of oncology-related clinical experience preferredAbility to obtain and maintain timely credentialing with participating facilitiesOther Considerations: Travel: Local travel preferred; lodging in quality hotels recommendedProvider must be from Williston or surrounding areas; specify travel originCredentialing: Complete and return credentialing packet promptly for timely onboardingSupport Staff: Excellent team including RNs, infusion RNs, navigators, and specialists ensure a smooth workflowThis is a rewarding opportunity to impact patient lives through expert oncology care in a vibrant community setting.
