In addition to programming, this person will run the 3 axis CNC routing machines to produce components from plastic sheet according to production requirements supplied by the fabrication department.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview blueprints and breakout part piece by piece to ensure correct construction specifications.Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.Maintain minimal machine downtime.Edit programs and set up CNC routers.Replace assigned tooling as needed (i.e., drills, boring bars, milling tools, etc.).Checks completed programs by running simulations.Determines sequence of operations in a program.Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.Writes programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.Program and operate 3 axis routers working primarily with 4' x 8' plastic sheet in various thicknesses.GENERAL CHARACTERISTICSMust have superior proficiency with Mastercam software applications.Must have excellent reading comprehension skills.Good math skillsGood active listening skills.Must have good problem-solving skills.Must have excellent time management skills.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be quality conscious and highly detail oriented.Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.Must have the ability to read blueprints.Attendance is an essential function of this position.Adhere to company policies and procedures.Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.Follow all safety and production procedures.Self-motivated and able to multi-task.Ability to perform several tasks concurrently.EDUCATION:High school2 year technical school preferredEXPERIENCE:2 years of Mastercam programming (preferred)WORK LOCATION:1 locationJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Mastercam programming: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person
