Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance assignments, installations, troubleshooting/diagnostics, repair, safety, and other duties to support the Director of Facilities. Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance tasks.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct routine maintenance inspections of premises and equipmentHandle basic and extensive repairs and maintenanceReplace light bulbs, ballasts, and troubleshootInspect heating and cooling systemsPerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsPerform routine maintenance on building (parking lot) interior and exterior, i.e., signage, pressure washing, painting, etc.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionInstall new equipment and furnitureComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasContact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.Oversee contractors providing professional tasksPerform other related duties as assigned by management.QualificationsHigh School or GED, required.Previous experience maintenance, required.
