Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, CAD design, and system integration. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving manufacturing, system design, and advanced simulation tools. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, root cause analysis, and adherence to industry standards such as ASME codes. Candidates with experience in project scheduling, mechanical drafting, and familiarity with programming tools like MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and Arduino will excel in this role. This is a paid position suitable for both experienced professionals and interns eager to develop their expertise in a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.Create detailed schematics and technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards.Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to validate mechanical designs.Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures or inefficiencies within systems.Develop and test prototypes utilizing CNC machining, 3D printing, or other manufacturing techniques.Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system design, integration, and optimization projects.Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during design and manufacturing processes.Utilize programming tools like MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and Arduino for automation and control system development.Assist in project scheduling, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely completion of engineering tasks.Prepare technical documentation including schematics, CAD models, and manufacturing instructions.ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; internships or co-op experience preferred.Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo is required; experience with drafting standards is essential.Knowledge of mechanical design principles including GD&T, system design, and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with programming environments like MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, C++, or Arduino for control systems development.Experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS) or similar simulation tools is advantageous.Understanding of CNC machining processes and manufacturing workflows.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME codes & standards is highly desirable.
