Job Details Job Location: Virginia - Wytheville, VA 24382 Education Level: High School Salary Range: $ $20.50 Hourly Job Shift: 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm)SUMMARYSets up and operates both automatic and manual assembly lines, assembles parts to specifications by performing the following duties. Satisfy SA's Quality goals and objectives in completion of activities or duties (reference Somic America Quality Manual and Quality Policy).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.SafetyMaintain and provide a safe work area and work in a safe manner.Report any unsafe conditions to Team Leader immediately.QualityComplete Hourly checks using In Process Check Sheets and Gaging to ensure parts meet Quality Specifications Notifies Team Leader of any suspect material and helps to contain material line side.ChangeoversComplete changeovers using Changeover Procedure.Attach fixtures and jigs to the table positions according to changeover procedure.Change out Station changeover pieces according to changeover procedure.Fill in Changeover checklist to ensure all changeover steps are complete.OperationCompletes standardized work in accordance to Work Instructions.Removes material from boxes and places in fixture or on conveyor.Moves parts from machine to machine as process is completed, i.e. Bolt Press to Pre-Assembly to Final Assembly. Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn rolling heads.Measures and inspects parts for conformance to specifications, using in process sheets, visual checks and gaging.Notify Team Leader of any abnormal or unusual plete line PM's (planned maintenance) as assigned.Submit kaizen suggestions for improvements.2nd Shift Machine Operator Tie Rod Assembly TRA-3QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
