POSITION SUMMARYThe Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining scalable test automation solutions. Primary responsibilities include This role will focus on executing automated test suite, creating/reviewing regression test cases, developing and maintaining automated tests while working in an agile environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for WinForms-based claims modules (claim intake, adjudication, eligibility, accumulators, and related workflows)Execute functional, regression, and UI automation suites; analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and differentiate between script, data, and application defectsProvide clear reporting on automation coverage, stability, and defect trends to support quality metrics and release go/no-go decisionsCollaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to understand requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure testability.Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint, planning and daily standupsDocument test results, track defects, and support root-cause analysisProactively identify opportunities to enhance automation, and streamline processesEnsure all automated tests are integrated into CI/CD workflows and support continuous testing practicesWork closely with Dev to build out automation testsAdhere to, and apply all applicable privacy and security laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH and any regulations promulgated thereto.Maintain clear, organized test documentation and adhere to QA standards and best practicesPerform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS2 to 4 years' experience in test automation, QA engineering, or software test engineeringExtensive experience writing automation tests using the following:Selenium WebDriverPostmanGIT or JenkinsTesting experience in WinForms based applicationsSQL and scriptingHands-on experience building and executing functional, regression, and UI automation for complex business applicationsPractical experience with test data management and validation for automated testingBasic scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, or Python)Understanding of SOLID and OOPUnderstanding of SDLC lifecycleThorough understanding of CI/CDExcellent ability to debug and troubleshoot all areas of the technology stackExperience with healthcare claims operations, benefit processing logic, or TPA environments preferredPrior involvement in legacy-to-modern platform conversions or modernization testingUnderstanding of Azure DevOps (ADO) for test case management and defect trackingExperience in WinAppDriver or similar UI automation tools and frameworksUnderstanding of .NET applications and related testingEDUCATIONB.S.,equivalent degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience required.POSITION COMPENTENCIESJob KnowledgeTime ManagementAccountabilityCommunicationInitiativeCustomer FocusPHYSICAL DEMANDS:This is an office environment requiring extended sitting and computer work.WORK ENVIRONMENTRemoteThe company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
