Position Overview One of our Partners, in Philadelphia, is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage within a medically directed anesthesia care team model. Providers must be able to commit to at least two shifts per week and hold an active Pennsylvania CRNA license.Pay ranking: This assignment offers Top 15% pay ranking compared to the 2025 Pennsylvania locum CRNA market, based on provider pay.Emergency/temporary privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 30-60 days. Assignment Highlights Ongoing locum CRNA coverage needMinimum commitment of 2 shifts per week requiredPreferred 12-hour shifts; open to 16- or 24-hour shifts as neededMedically directed anesthesia model (no AAs)Care Team Model with anesthesiologists onsiteAdult-only patient populationAverage 4-6 cases per dayLevel I-style acuity at a 600+ bed academic medical centerMileage reimbursement only (no lodging, airfare, or meals)Malpractice insurance providedHPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission-certified agency Job Responsibilities Provide anesthesia services in a medically directed care team modelPerform pre-anesthesia evaluations and participate in postoperative careDeliver anesthesia across multiple service lines including:Thoracic surgeryMajor vascular surgeryTrauma casesOrthopedicsNeuro cases (occasionally)Outpatient surgery (occasionally)Collaborate with anesthesiologists and perioperative staffDocument care accurately in Cerner EMRParticipate in OR efficiency and patient safety initiatives Skills & Experience Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Active Pennsylvania CRNA license (required)Board certification requiredComfortable with high-acuity adult anesthesia casesExperience with thoracic, vascular, trauma, and orthopedic anesthesiaSpinal anesthesia and regional blocks preferred but not requiredOB experience not required (skills may be utilized if present)Ability to function effectively in a care team model
