Purpose/SummarySales & Strategic Leadership for all assigned current customers and prospects. Direct supervision of both direct employees and independent sales representatives. Responsible for achieving sales & profit targets for assigned customers. Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesSales & Strategic Leadership for all assigned customers and prospectsDirect supervision of both direct employees and independent sales representativesResponsible for budget planning, forecasting, show support, marketing support in areaLead contact for assigned customers/prospectsStrategic sales planning focused on growth with existing customers and smooth onboarding of new customersResponsible for achieving sales & profit targets for assigned customersPerform other duties as assignedEducation and/or Experience (minimum required for the position)Bachelor Degree in related field preferred.  A minimum of 7 years' experience in Automotive Aftermarket Sales and/ or marketing is required, with a minimum of 5 years supervisory / management experience.Essential Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesComputer skills including Outlook and Microsoft OfficeCRM Experience a plusAnalytical skills for forecasting and reportingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independentlyFamiliarity with automotive aftermarket WD channel in Eastern USSkilled at developing strong customer relationshipsMust have strong negotiation skillsAttention to detail and sense of urgency requiredAbility to exercise independent judgment to perform essential duties. Ability to develop instructions and guidelines to perform functions of the job when necessary. Others as requiredSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has direct supervisory experience of Akebono direct associates and independent sales representatives.  It will provide the team with direction and guidance to ensure projects are prioritized and planning processes provided are in place to ensure project deadlines are achieved.  This includes selecting and hiring associates, training and evaluating associates to enhance performance, development and work product, as well as, addressing performance issues and making recommendations for personnel actions.  The Regional Sales Manager will work with Director to motivate and reward associates including pay adjustments and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.Physical Demands/EnvironmentThis position requires the following physical abilities: to sit; to use hands, to reach with hands and arms, to stand, to talk, to hear and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. In addition, the specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  This position is also required to drive a motor vehicle to customer sites on a daily basis.Other RequirementsPosition must be located in the Northeast Region of USThis is a home based positionMust have valid US Drivers LicenseExtensive travel (up to 75%) is required, including some international (Passport required)
