Job Description

Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide direct systems engineering and integration support to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Program Manager for the Maritime Public and Tactical Communications (MPTC) system acquisition. This role supports mission-critical communications capabilities and focuses on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), acquisition lifecycle execution, and requirements-driven engineering within a regulated federal environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience supporting federal acquisition programs, developing architecture-compliant engineering artifacts, and leading systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle. Job Responsibilities:Provide direct systems engineering support to the USCG Program Manager for the MPTC acquisitionGenerate engineering documentation compliant with:Unified Architctural Framework (UAF)SPAWARINST 5401.6Develop artifacts for ingestion into Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools:Lead and support systems engineering and integration across the full lifecycle in accordance with the Acquisition Life Cycle (ALF), the Navy Product Lifecycle Management (NPLM), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Directive Systems Engineering Lifecycle - SELC), including:Interfacing with user groups to determine requirements and needsPlanning, defining, designing, developing, implementing, operating, and disposing of systemsDeveloping reports, plans, and artifacts supporting SELC stage activitiesDeveloping entrance and exit criteria for SELC stage reviewsMeasuring and improving effectiveness/efficiency of systems engineering processesIntegrating technical planning to provide program management with specific guidance and direction on how to execute a requirement-based and structurally managed programWorking with the Program's IPT to develop functional, technical, and performance requirementsSupporting engineering change evaluations and technical reviewsMBSE Responisibilities include:Working with the Program's Integrated Product Team to develop functional, technical, and performance requirementsInterfacing with MBSE support teams to build, maintain, and update requirements toolsGenerate exports and reports from MBSE toolsAssist with requirements decompositionManage and Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)Support and facilitate requirements-focused IPT meetingsPerform technical reviews of proposed engineering change packagesProvide engineering and integration support for USCG IT systems as neededRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, systems engineer, computer science, or a related discipline8+ years of professional experience in systems engineeringDemonstrated experience with:Federal/DoD acquisition lifecyclesSystems Engineering lifecycle processes (SELC/ALF/NPLM)Requirements development, decomposition, traceabilityMBSE tools/methodologyGenerating engineering documentation that complies with architectural and policy frameworksStrong written and verbal communication skillsPrior work with USCG, Navy, or DHSPreferred Qualifications: Experience with UAF-compliant architecture developmentFamiliarity with SPAWAR/NAVWARExperience supporting communications, IT, or mission systemsExperience facilitating IPTs/Technical Review BoardsAbout Data Intelligence, LLC:Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is a small business that provides Information Technology System Development (Agile, DevSecOps, Cloud Platform support) Cybersecurity (RMF, Security Engineering, Cross Domain Solutions), Tactical Data Link Standards Development and Testing, and Logistics/Warehousing services to U.S. federal clients both CONUS and OCONUS.
