You’ll set the standard for clinical excellence while delivering exceptional, patient-centered surgical care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary partners. Best of all, this role offers an outstanding schedule: Monday–Friday daylights only — no weekends, no holidays, and no call. Clinical Knowledge & Patient-Centered Care Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to the patient populations served, grounded in principles of growth and development across the lifespan.Ability to assess patient data, interpret findings, and deliver care aligned with departmental policies and procedures.Strong clinical judgment with well-developed critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead and support others in applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality care.Experience & Education 0–2 years of nursing experience required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.ICU or pre/post experience preferredCollaboration & Professionalism Proven ability to build positive, caring relationships with physicians, executives, leaders, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and fortable working in a fast-paced, complex environment with changing priorities and specialized equipment.Demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and effective communication across all levels of the organization.Physical Requirements Mobility, visual acuity, and manual dexterity required.Physical stamina to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient positioning.Licensure, Certifications & ClearancesCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the facility is locatedora valid multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).Graduate Nurses must successfully complete the RN licensure examination withinsix (6) months of hireor within one year of graduation—whichever comes first.Temporary Practice Permits (TPP) accepted per policy.Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required in accordance with AHA standards within30 days of hire .UPMC-approved national certification preferred.Nurses working under an out-of-state NLC license who establish residency in the facility’s state must apply for in-state licensure within60 days .ACLS requiedPerforms duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
