JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Columbia, SC • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: April 27, 2026 Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts with 12s preferred • On-Call Shift Schedule: Limited weekend call • Call Type: Weekend only • Call Ratio: One weekend (Saturday and Sunday 7:00a starts) per quarter • Callback Rate: Included per facility policyCOVERAGE DATES • Start Date: April 27, 2026 • End Date: Ongoing • Full-time locum coverage with flexible shift lengthsPATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 100 anesthesia cases per day • Case Mix: Broad surgical and procedural anesthesia including pediatricsFACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: Large tertiary hospital campus • Trauma Level: Adult Levels I IV with full pediatric services • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: GE Avance anesthesia machines • Specialty Backup Available: Full surgical and specialty services • Support Staff Available: 24-hour anesthesia technician coverage • Reason for Coverage: Ongoing locum staffing needsPRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Variable; up to 4 months with active SC license, 5 6 months without • Background Requirements: Clean background requiredCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Included in all-inclusive rateREQUIRED PROCEDURES • General anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures • Anesthesia services for IR, Endoscopy, Pulmonary Lab, MRI, CT, Radiation Oncology, and EP labsJOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active South Carolina CRNA license required • Board: NBCRNA certification required • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required • Experience: Minimum 2 years post-training experience required • Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice and background history; non-local candidates onlyDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide anesthesia services across a high-acuity hospital and outpatient surgical environment • Support Level I trauma and full pediatric anesthesia coverage • Work flexible shift lengths as assigned by department scheduling • Collaborate with anesthesia care teams and perioperative staff • Document anesthesia care accurately and timely in Epic
