This role involves working in collaboration with anesthesiologists to cover a variety of surgeries, excluding open heart but including complex orthopedic and vascular cases. The position requires full-time availability, offering either 5 eight-hour or 4 ten-hour shifts from Monday through Friday. Key Details Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Both Inpatient and Outpatient Start Date: 4/20/2026 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5 eight-hour or 4 ten-hour shifts Patient Population: All Ages Location: West Reading, PA Stipends: None Benefits Weekly direct depositMalpractice insurance with tail coverageSupportive credentialing assistanceFlexible scheduling (optional if applicable) Job Responsibilities Provide anesthesia care for all types of surgical procedures except open heart surgeries.Administer general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia.Perform complex orthopedic and vascular anesthesia, including head, spine, neuro, and thoracic cases.Work as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside anesthesiologists, anesthesia techs, and SCAs.Manage ventilation and acute volume/BP issues, and perform line placements as needed. Qualifications Active Pennsylvania licenseCertified as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Full-time availability with flexibility to work 3-4 weeks per monthExperience in administering anesthesia for all surgical types listedFamiliarity with supervised working environments Working Hours Schedule: 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, Monday through FridayOvertime: Applicable after 40 hours per week Skills Proficiency in general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesiaAbility to perform pediatric, neonatal, trauma, and complex surgical anesthesiaCompetence in post-op epidural and extremity blocksSkilled in using x-ray guidance for block performanceEfficient in CRNA supervisionThis position offers an engaging and challenging environment for CRNAs who thrive in a high-volume setting and seek to diversify their skills across a range of surgeries.
