Cafe Supervisor

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Supervisor to join our team at Constellation to help lead daily operations and support our team and management. Summary of Position: The Cafe Supervisor leads by example on the floor, coaching baristas and service staff, managing shift execution, and addressing guest needs in real time. They are accountable for opening and closing duties, cash handling, floor support, and maintaining a positive, professional work environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining speed, accuracy, and hospitality standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with prior food service experience who is ready to take the next step in team leadership and operational responsibility. You’ll partner closely with the General Manager to uphold standards, build a strong team culture, and deliver a consistently great guest experience. Living up to our shared belief in excellence. Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee daily café operations; ensure efficiency, consistency, and excellence in guest experience. Support station coverage, business flow, and task delegation. Deliver warm, genuine hospitality and take care of our guests. Learn our guests and practice recognition of our regular guests and VIPs Take ownership of the coffee bar and maintain cleanliness in all areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, storage areas, and prep stations. Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards across all areas. Lead seamless transition between opening, mid, and closing responsibilities using store’s checklists and SOPs. Reinforce policies, safety procedures, and compliance (labor laws, food safety, security protocols). Possess full knowledge of menu and vendors that we feature. Uphold product quality and presentation standards. Respond to guest questions, feedback, and concerns in a timely and courteous manner. Control food and beverage costs, labor, waste, and cash handling during shifts Count cash drawers and complete accurate daily cash handling procedures. Communicate any discrepancies with management team. Monitor product inventory levels and take initiative to communicate needs early to management. Support retail setup, merchandising, restocking, and inventory organization. Keep displays visually strong, fully stocked, and on-brand. Create an energetic, coffee-forward environment that excites both the team and guests. Support espresso execution: dialing in, drink builds, workflow, and service standards. Jump on bar or register and lead by example. Adhere to all Episcope company policies, procedures, and service standards Qualifications/Skills: Must have exceptional grooming habits. Comfortable working early morning hours is a must. Have working knowledge of traditional espresso beverages. General barista knowledge including but not limited to semi-automatic espresso machine operation, dialing in espresso, general knowledge of coffee drinks & builds Great communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with guests and peers Able to stay calm and problem-solve in a busy environment. Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail. Flexible availability, including weekends.
