Speech Language Pathology job in Oakland CA

Ref #: C-SLP-Join a 13-week contract assignment in Oakland, CA, starting ASAP. This full-time role runs Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,182/36 hours; Local rate $2,149/36 hours.Required: Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.Key responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic tools.Diagnose communication and swallowing conditions and determine severity.Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans and adjust them based on ongoing progress.Provide evidence-based therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and dysphagia management.Recommend, educate on, and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.Teach patients and families strategies and home programs to reinforce progress across daily, school, and work settings.Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, plans, interventions, and progress notes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams-physicians, therapists, educators-to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.Pursue continuing professional development to stay current in the field.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.This role emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical reasoning, clear documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
