NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery- Tacoma Washington

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery provider to work locum shifts in Tacoma Washington (WA). Starting in April 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. Cardiothoracic role: Schedule: M-F 3-4 days calls & a 1:4 weekend call. Hours are variable, but in general. M-F Schedule is mostly , but it is not shift work, some days may go beyond. If the Provider is on call the hours for that day would likely be 10-12+ hours. Weekend call shifts are variable depending on patient census, but generally 6 8+ hours per weekend day. Call days include carrying a pager for 24 hours. Setting: Inpatient Assist with pre and post operative patient evaluation and treatment OR First assist VATS and DaVinci Robot Thoracic Procedures Cases- 6-8 hearts/week, 9-12 thoracic/week EMR: Epic Dealbreakers: Robotic assisted thoracic surgeries (90% of thoracic cases are robotics) Requirements of the Cardiothoracic role: WA state license; active, unrestricted- will also consider IMLC in hand Board certified Certifications- BLS, ACLS, AANP 3 years of experience- CV/CT surgery experience DEA Clean Malpractice Benefits: Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience and certifications) Housing and transportation needs covered.
