Dental Assistant

WORK SCHEDULE: Ability for flexible days. Work FT or 2-3 days a week. DRESS CODE: Scrubs TRAVEL: 10% of the time. May be assigned to a school site. Can ride with a state employee in a state vehicle. Normally will be an elementary school. Will be at the school for the entire day, not travel required during business hours. EQUIPMENT USED: EagleSoft computer software, autoclave, dental equipmentJob Description :- DENTAL TREATMENT Expanded duties as licensed by the board of professional regulations for certified dental assistantWill polish clinical crowns of teethWill apply topical fluoride gels and varnishWill place temporary restorations and sealantsWill remove suturesWill fabricate temporary crowns, pack cord and cement temporary crownsSKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:Florida Dental Radiology CertificateFL Dental Expanded Duty CertificateFL driver s licenseCurrent/active CPR certificateMust have a working knowledge of standard dental procedures techniques and material used in the dental clinicMust have a working knowledge of OSHA standards, dental infection control and hazardous dental materialsMust have a positive, helpful attitude toward dental director, dentist, students, staff, patients and their familiesMust have the ability to enter information into EagleSoft electronic oral health recordMust have ability to enter information into EagleSoft electronic oral health recordBilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferredPediatric Experience highly preferred
