Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, TX Join our dedicated team providing vital healthcare services to our nation's Veterans!We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners for General Medicine to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This opportunity is available in beautiful Houston, Texas, where you will work either at a local facility or from your own office, striving to make a difference in the lives of Veterans. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform primarily interview-based evaluations, along with physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Complete administrative tasks related to evaluations such as submitting reports and addendums. Work on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling options, including half-day and full-day shifts. Collaborate effectively with Veterans, ensuring the highest standard of care. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas. AANP certification required. Proficient in METs testing and skilled in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) for documentation. Experience in General Medicine or a related field is preferred. License and Certification Requirements: Must hold an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license. AANP certification is required.
