Your expertise will support high-quality patient outcomes in a dynamic inpatient setting, contributing to a dedicated team of surgeons, mid-level providers, and supportive staff. Key duties include pre- and post-operative patient evaluations, assisting with surgeries ranging from coronary artery bypass to thoracic procedures, managing ICU and step-down units, and participating in emergent procedures as needed. Expect to be involved in both scheduled surgeries and urgent walk-in visits, with a focus on maintaining exceptional patient care standards. The schedule involves a combination of weekday, evening, weekend, and call shifts, with a typical volume of 20 adult patients daily and an average of 6-8 cardiac cases and 9-12 thoracic cases per week.
