Surgery - Vascular Nurse Practitioner

(Chest tube insertions, arterial line insertions etc.)Daily roundsDischarge summariesCall every 6th night and every 6th weekendPre-and post-op patients, inpatients and outpatientsEvening, night and weekend surgeriesWeekend patient roundsWalk-in/urgent clinic visits when primary surgeon is not availableClinic wound checks as needed5 perm surgeons on staff (3 cardiac, 2 thoracic) 4 mid levels (3 PA, 1 NP and 1 in training)Schedule/Availability Requirements: M-F 3-4 days calls & a 1:4 weekend call. Hours are variable, but in general. M-F Schedule is mostly , but it is not shift work, some days may go beyond. If the Provider is on call the hours for that day would likely be 10-12+ hours. Weekend call shifts are variable depending on patient census, but generally 6 8+ hours per weekend day. Call days include carrying a pager for 24 hours. Mandated Job Requirements: Board Certified WA State License (Highly preferred) will consider IMLC Residency Requirements/Fellowship - 3 years of CV/CT surgery experience Other Certs: ACLS, BLS, DEAClean Malpractice
