Nephrology Nurse Practitioner

Location: Burlington, MA Job Summary Seeking an experienced and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its multidisciplinary Kidney Transplant Program. This role focuses on co-managing kidney transplant recipients and living donor kidney patients within a respected academic teaching facility.You will work closely with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, advanced practitioners, and house staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Under the direction of an attending physician, responsibilities include:Providing comprehensive preoperative, postoperative, and ongoing medical care in the outpatient settingDeveloping and implementing diagnostic and treatment plansOrdering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studiesProviding consultation services for nephrology and transplant patientsPrescribing and managing medications within scope of practiceEducating patients and families on transplant care and treatment plansProviding inpatient consult coverage as needed Ideal Candidate Flexible, motivated, and team-orientedComfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity academic environmentStrong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teamsCommitted to high-quality transplant and nephrology care Qualifications Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)Active Massachusetts license and appropriate national certificationEligible for or active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registrationMinimum of 1 year of Advanced Practice experience required (3 years preferred) Compensation Annual salary range: $133,120 $215,000Compensation is based on experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and job responsibilities, in accordance with applicable laws.
