Key Responsibilities: Provide hospital-based first assist support during cardiothoracic surgeriesDeliver outpatient clinical care for cardiovascular patientsParticipate in scheduled call rotations including inpatient rounding and first assist callbacksAssist in surgical procedures and patient management during extended hours, with overtime paid after 40 hours per weekCover approximately 7-8 call days per month, with 24-hour weekend shifts and weeknight callsRequired Skills: Valid certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with cardiovascular specializationProven experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or cardiovascular clinical careStrong surgical first assist skills and familiarity with inpatient and outpatient managementExcellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skillsNice to Have Skills: Experience with hospital-based call coverage and outpatient clinicsCertification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or similar credentialsKnowledge of hospital electronic medical records (EMR) systemsPreferred Education and Experience: Master's or higher degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant StudiesMinimum of 2 years of clinical or surgical experience in a cardiovascular settingPrior experience with first assist roles in cardiothoracic surgeriesOther Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysWillingness to participate in rotating call schedulesCompliance with all institutional policies and licensing requirementsThis is a compelling opportunity to advance your career while making a meaningful difference in patient care.
