Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic Summary: Join a dynamic team at a renowned medical facility in Tacoma, Washington, specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery. The facility is seeking two Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Providers to start as soon as possible pending credentialing. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an inpatient setting, providing advanced care in cardiothoracic procedures. Job Responsibilities: Assist with pre and post-operative patient evaluation and treatment First assist in the operating room for various cardiac and thoracic procedures Conduct coronary artery bypass and valve surgeries Perform aortic reconstruction and aortic arch reconstructions Engage in robotic-assisted thoracic surgeries Handle endoscopic vein and open radial artery harvests Conduct minimally invasive valve procedures Manage VATS and DaVinci Robot Thoracic Procedures Oversee thoracic and fore-gut procedures Provide ICU and step-down management Conduct emergent procedures as required Complete daily rounds and discharge summaries Participate in night and weekend call rotations Manage walk-in or urgent clinic visits as needed Perform clinic wound checks Qualifications: Board Certification is required Strongly preferred: State License in Washington, IMLC considered Minimum 3 years of cardiovascular/thoracic surgery experience required Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and DEA are required Clean malpractice history is a must Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is mandatory License and Certification Requirements: Board Certification Required State License WA (highly preferred), IMLC considered Residency Requirements/Fellowship 3 years of CV/CT surgery experience Required Other Certifications ACLS, BLS, DEA Required Malpractice Clean Required A Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentationDiscover the vibrant city of Tacoma, Washington, known for its rich history, beautiful waterfront views, and diverse cultural attractions.
