HLA Technologist Day Shift (Tues Sat) Location: Greater Boston, MA Area - 30 min outside of Boston Schedule: Tuesday Saturday, DAY SHIFT Every third Saturday off (swap a weekday for Saturday) Pay: Around $40/hr Join a leading lab team performing high-complexity HLA testing and providing critical support to hospitals, transfusion services, and donor programs. This role is ideal for an experienced HLA, molecular, or blood bank professional who thrives in an independent, quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced molecular and immunologic testing, including: DNA extraction, PCR, sequence-based typing, STR analysis Probe hybridization/detection Cytotoxic crossmatching Luminex and/or ELISA antibody screening Recognize testing irregularities, troubleshoot issues, and determine solutions. Review, interpret, and finalize test results; prepare accurate reports and maintain complete documentation. Communicate with hospital and transfusion service personnel regarding patient findings and test orders. Support sample receipt, coordination, transport, and reagent management. Perform daily equipment checks, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor communication. Perform and review quality control activities. Assist with validation, implementation of new methods, and training of new team members. Maintain compliance with all SOPs, federal, state, and accrediting agency standards. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in biological science or chemistry. MLS / MT / CLS (or equivalent) certification required. CHT(ABHI) or CHS(ABHI) preferred (or in progress). Minimum 3 years of experience in HLA, molecular diagnostics, blood bank, or clinical lab testing. Strong communication skills, critical-thinking ability, and high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet productivity standards. Why This Role?
