Senior Quality Oversight Engineer - Mechanical OR Electrical OR I&CSemiconductor Manufacturing Facility | Boise, ID (Onsite)About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Quality Oversight Engineer with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineering to support the construction of a large, state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho.This role is embedded onsite with an AEC firm and is focused on ensuring that critical building and process support systems are installed, tested, and turned over in accordance with design intent, specifications, codes, and project quality standards. The ideal candidate brings deep field experience, strong technical judgment, and a proactive approach to quality and constructability.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide senior-level technical and quality oversight for Mechanical, Electrical, and/or I&C scopes during construction and installationVerify installations align with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality requirementsPerform field inspections, system walkdowns, and quality audits across assigned systemsReview contractor work for compliance with engineering standards and best practicesIdentify, document, and drive resolution of quality issues, deficiencies, and non-conformancesSupport constructability reviews and sequencing discussions to reduce reworkReview RFIs, submittals, and field change requests from a quality and technical perspectiveCoordinate closely with construction management, design engineering, and commissioning teamsSupport system completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and turnover activitiesPromote a strong culture of quality, safety, and accountability on the jobsiteRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, I&C Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience on large industrial, high-tech, or advanced manufacturing construction projectsDemonstrated experience providing field-based quality oversight or engineering supportStrong working knowledge of:Mechanical systems (process piping, HVAC, exhaust, chilled water, clean utilities)Electrical systems (power distribution, substations, UPS, generators)Instrumentation & Controls systems (PLC, SCADA, BMS, EMS)Solid understanding of construction means and methods, installation sequencing, and commissioning workflowsComfortable working in an onsite, fast-paced construction environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to engage contractors, engineers, and project leadershipPreferred ExperienceSemiconductor manufacturing or microelectronics facilitiesCleanroom and process support infrastructureQuality, field engineering, startup, or commissioning rolesExperience supporting tool install readiness and utility integrationFamiliarity with inspection and test plans (ITPs), punch lists, and turnover documentation
