Position OverviewA highly respected, employee-owned commercial general contractor in the Seattle market is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-profile construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for owners and design teams while providing leadership to internal project teams and field operations.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, polished client-facing skills, and a collaborative leadership style well-suited for complex, detail-driven work.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction and budgeting through construction execution and closeoutServe as the primary owner and design-team liaison, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, budget, and qualityOversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, change management, and risk mitigationPartner closely with preconstruction teams on estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, and procurement strategyLead and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and SuperintendentsCoordinate with field leadership to ensure effective execution, logistics planning, and schedule adherenceEnsure compliance with safety, quality control, and contractual requirementsManage subcontractor relationships, buyout, and performance throughout the project lifecycleSupport project closeout, commissioning, and turnover to ownershipQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field10+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor or construction management firmProven experience managing mid- to large-scale commercial projects ($30M-$150M+)Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost controlExperience with collaborative delivery methods (Design-Build, GC/CM, GMP)Proficiency with construction technology platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office required)Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsPreferred ExperienceBackground in life sciences, healthcare, higher education, or technically complex commercial projectsExperience working in active or occupied environmentsExposure to LEED, sustainability initiatives, or mission-critical systemsDemonstrated ability to mentor teams and build long-term client relationshipsWhy This OpportunityLead high-visibility, technically challenging projects in the Seattle marketJoin an employee-owned contractor with a strong culture, low turnover, and long-term project backlogClear runway to executive-level leadership for high performersCompetitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits
