Ref #: C-LPN-We're seeking an LPN to join a Middletown, RI team on a 9-week contract (non-travel), starting ASAP. This position is evening shift, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, with a local rate of $1,464 per 40 hours.What you'll needActive, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state licenseCurrent BLS certificationWhat you'll doYou'll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include medication administration, wound care, IV and catheter care, vital sign monitoring, and routine patient assessments. You'll document changes in condition, maintain accurate medical records, collect specimens for lab testing, and follow infection-control and medication-safety protocols.You'll also:Perform physical assessments, review medical histories, and help develop individualized care plansAdminister prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring correct dosing and adherence to protocolsEvaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for infection or complicationsInsert, maintain, and monitor IV lines and administer IV medications/fluids as appropriateProvide catheter care and monitor for related complicationsMonitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report significant changesEducate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-careAssist with mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain managementRespond to emergencies and provide basic life support when neededWork collaboratively with the healthcare team-RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff-to coordinate careSupervise CNAs or UAPs when required to ensure safe, high-quality carePromote preventive health measures and advocate for patients' needsMaintain competency through ongoing education and trainingFollow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines for handling and disposing of medications/suppliesPerform other duties as assigned by managementIf you're a dependable LPN who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering compassionate, skilled care, this assignment in Middletown could be a great fit.
