Occupational Therapist job in Bowie MD

Ref #: C-OT-We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract/travel assignment in Bowie, MD, starting ASAP. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,701/35 hrs; Local rate $1,677/35 hrs.Requirements:Active state Occupational Therapy license.CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).Key responsibilities:Assess patients' physical and cognitive function and their environments to identify limitations and set measurable goals.Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary care team.Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, independence, and participation.Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.Provide hands-on instruction and practice for activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs.Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to maximize independence.Monitor, document, and revise treatment progress, maintaining accurate evaluations and progress notes.Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other providers to support safe community and workplace reintegration.Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and participate in professional development.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
