Job description:Registered Nurse – OB/GYN (Coverage)Location: OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA Company: US Got People (USGP)US Got People (USGP) is seeking a Registered Nurse – OB/GYN (Coverage) to join our team in providing high-quality care to military service members, veterans, and their families. This position is located at the OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMC), VA.Position Details:Employment Type: Coverage (PRN)Schedule: Monday – Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM (based on coverage needs)Location: Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA Benefits:Competitive CompensationOpportunity to serve the military communityWork-life balance with daytime weekday hours Qualifications:Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Graduate of a nursing program accredited by NLNAC or CCNELicense:Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or jurisdiction (including D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands)Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience in women’s health orambulatory care within the past two (2) yearsCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) – current and valid Immunization Requirements:(Candidates must be current or willing to obtain)Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB TestSeasonal Influenza VaccineCOVID-19 Vaccine (if applicable) Primary Responsibilities Include:Participate in quality improvement activities, patient care evaluations, and planningConduct patient assessments and recognize early signs of physical or mental health issuesAssist physicians with OB/GYN procedures and treatmentsDocument observations, procedures, and test results in patient recordsEducate patients and families on procedures, follow-up care, and test preparationsConduct patient interviews and assist in reviewing diagnoses and treatment plansCoordinate care with healthcare professionals and community resourcesAdminister and monitor IVs after passing MTF IV placement testDeliver emergency treatment and manage stable phases of chronic conditionsProvide patient education and emotional support as a patient advocatePerform standard RN duties, including triage, monitoring, and treatmentPrepare equipment and assist with medical procedures Why USGP?At USGP, we are deeply committed to supporting our veterans, their families, and the communities we serve.
