Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Facility in Bellingham, WA seeking Cardiology NP locums coverage Opportunity Highlights Start Date: March or April 2026 (Urgent fast-track need). Duration: 6 months. Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts). Work-Life Balance: No Call requirements. Setting: Dual coverage at the Cardiology Clinic and a 250-bed secondary medical center. EMR: Epic (Experience Required). Clinical Scope & Responsibilities The provider will manage adult patients within the Electrophysiology subspecialty, balancing clinical consultations with hospital-based care. Daily Duties: Inpatient rounding, admissions, and outpatient clinic visits. Patient Volume: Average of patients per day. Independence: The provider must be comfortable working solo at times. Focus: Specialized care in cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology management. Provider Requirements Certification: Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with a focus on Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology. Licensure: Active Washington (WA) State License is required (No IMLC allowed at this time). DEA: Active Washington DEA must be in hand at the time of presentation. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty. Must demonstrate 12 months of clinical practice within the ARNP area of specialization within the past 5 years (or graduation from an accredited program within the past 12 months). Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross). Credentialing & Logistics Fast-Track: This is an urgent need with expedited credentialing options available for qualified candidates. Standard Timeline: 90 days from application submission; Temporary privileges available within 120 days. Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation is required on the first day.
