Aircraft Technician I Job SummaryAircraft technicians are essential to Deltahawk Engines' airframe integration efforts, contributing significantly to both development and certification processes. Their main role is to complete maintenance, modifications, flight testing, and offering crucial design feedback for test assets and new airframe projects. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAn individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities listed below. Other duties may be assigned.Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, including engine, airframe, avionics, and electrical systems without formal troubleshooting documentationEnsure that work performed on aircraft is completed to the highest safety and quality standardsProperly document aircraft maintenance and modifications as well as storage of these documents Required QualificationsA&P mechanic License2+ years of hands-on experience working on aircraft or aircraft enginesUnderstanding of applicable regulatory requirements and related documentation requirementsStrong "can do" attitude accompanied with a sense of ambition and urgencyAbility to follow procedures to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft systemsExcellent attention to detail in mechanical assembly and the inspection process during teardownsAbility to comprehend technical details effectively in verbal and written formComputer literacy including the ability to organize and manage test dataAbility to lift, hold, and position weights up to 45 lbs at least two to four times per hour as neededAbility to work in various positions necessary to service the engine or test equipment as neededOvertime and domestic travel may be requiredTools will be provided Preferred QualificationsSport Pilot license or betterComposites fabrication and repair experience Working ConditionsWork will be conducted in typical mechanical shop and industrial test cell environments.
