In this field sales role, you will build trusted relationships, present tailored proposals, and fuel growth for clients and Spectrum alike"”with every successful partnership making a measurable impact.How You Will Make an ImpactIdentify and pursue new opportunities with small to medium government and education clients for fiber and coax solutionsLearn and navigate procurement processes unique to government and education, adapting your sales approach accordinglyConduct consultative needs analyses and design client-centric product solutionsAchieve monthly revenue quotas in fiber, coax, cloud, and video salesGenerate leads through calls, premise visits, networking, and industry eventsQualify leads, request site surveys, and submit ROI analyses to sales managementDevelop and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clientsMaintain accurate sales activity records in Salesforce and ensure seamless handoff to account management teamsCollaborate with Sales Engineering, Sales Support, and Marketing to deliver comprehensive solutions and attend required sales meetings and training sessionsWorking ConditionsOffice-based environmentField travel required using a reliable personal vehicle, including in varied weather conditionsWhat You Will Bring to SpectrumRequired QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or general education degree required (GED)ExperienceMinimum of 6 months of customer service experienceSkillsRead, write, speak and understand EnglishCapacity to travel to assigned territories and company facilitiesValid and active state driver's license with a safe driving recordPreferred QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in a business-related fieldExperience3+ years of sales experience with a proven record of exceeding revenue quotas3+ years of outside telecommunications sales, preferably business-to-business in data,voice, and/or video solutions2+ years of experience selling data, voice, cloud, and/or video solutionsSkillsExperience within state/local government and/or education sectorsAptitude for learning Spectrum's product suiteMotivation to balance base salary and commission earningsIndustry knowledge and a proactive, adaptable attitudeProficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPointNetworking and negotiation skillsEffective multitasking and time management under deadlinesQuick learner with a collaborative mindset, coachable and open to feedbackPositive attitude, inner drive, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage and foster change#LI-WJ1SCM220 2026-67763 2026Here, our employees don't just have jobs, they're building careers. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
