We will provide you with all the tools necessary for a successful experience, with hands-on training, online learning modules, and a structured path to grow your career.   About Us The Broad Street Oyster Co. brand began in 2017 when founder, Christopher Tompkins, would set up a tent and a Coleman camping grill throughout Southern California in order to sell oysters, sea urchin and lobster rolls for pop-ups, events and outside busy businesses up and down the coast. After the success of his pop-ups Tompkins decided to put down permanent roots at the restaurant space within Malibu Village boasting nearly floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook Malibu Lagoon. Christopher has made Broad Street a destination in Malibu for pristine, locally sourced oysters, lobster rolls and other New England inspired classics. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and storage areas. Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking supplies. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures.  Contribute to a positive and productive team environment. Qualifications: Previous experience in a back-of-house or kitchen role is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
