This is a role for someone with grit, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset"”someone who isn't afraid to jump in, take responsibility, and move quickly.As a Financial Analyst - Acquisitions & Asset Management, you will work directly with one of the firm's partners and play a critical role in identifying, underwriting, and prioritizing investment opportunities that align with our investment goals.Your job is to sift through a large volume of opportunities from multiple deal sources, elevate the highest-priority opportunities, and help drive them toward execution. Speed, judgment, follow-up, and consistency are essential.This is not a corporate or siloed analyst role. You will interface directly with ownership, internal team members, and external professionals, and your work will have a visible impact on the business.What You'll Be DoingAcquisitions & UnderwritingUnderwrite and screen a high volume of incoming deals across multiple sourcesIdentify which opportunities fit our buy box and warrant offer submissionUnderwrite fix & flip, buy & hold, and small to mid-sized multifamily opportunitiesPerform scenario analysis to evaluate risk, returns, and execution strategyAudit, maintain, and continuously improve the company's proforma and underwriting modelsSupport due diligence and acquisition execution with escrow, title, lenders, agents, and partnersDeal Flow & Relationship ManagementProactively follow up with wholesalers, brokers, and agents who provide deal flowBuild rapport and maintain strong relationships with key deal sourcesConsistently promote the La Placa Group brand to keep deal flow active and top-of-funnelTake a hunter mentality toward keeping the pipeline full and relevantAsset Management & ReportingMaintain a real-time pulse on all active fix & flip, buy & hold, and rental assetsTrack project timelines, budgets, and execution milestonesProvide weekly reporting to senior management on project status, priorities, and risksEnsure momentum and accountability across the lifecycle of each investmentAny ad-hoc reporting / analysis requested from senior managementWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field1-2+ years of real estate financial analysis or underwriting experienceMultifamily underwriting experience is a plusStrong Excel & financial modeling skillsAbility to move quickly while maintaining accuracyHighly organized with strong follow-throughGet-it-done mentality with a strong sense of responsibilityOwnership mindset"”you treat the work like it's your own capitalCoachable, team-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive pay: $60,000-$72,000/year (DOE)Health insurance401(k)Paid time offOpportunities for career growth and leadership within a rapidly expanding real estate groupCollaborative, supportive environment where your work has a direct and visible impactSchedule & LocationFull-Time, Monday-Friday8-hour in-person scheduleNewport Beach office
