This role will be the financial backbone of the organization. You'll own budgeting, forecasting, accountability, and profitability while partnering closely with department leaders.A core objective of this role is to increase EBITDA through disciplined budgeting, forecasting, and financial leadershipKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & StrategyOwn and manage the company-wide budget and departmental budgetsLead weekly and monthly budget review meetings with each Department Head to drive accountabilityForecast EBITDA, cash flow, and profitability with accuracy and insightMaintain visibility over every financial aspect of the businessProfitability & PerformanceTrack and analyze project GP weeklyIdentify margin improvement opportunities and cost controlsPartner with leadership to drive the business towards a higher EBITDATeam Leadership & OversightOversee the existing bookkeeper (AP/AR, billing forecast dates)Collaborate with the Senior Accountant (who will remain part-time for tax planning, investing, and year-end budgeting)Ensure clean, accurate, and timely financialsSystems & ProcessMaintain and optimize QuickBooks environmentStrengthen financial processes, reporting, and controlsSupport forecasting, job costing, and financial visibility across projectsWhat We're Looking ForExperienceConstruction industry experience required (Design-Build or GC strongly preferred)Experience in companies with $20M+ annual revenue is a mustBackground as an Controller, Senior Construction Accountant, or high-level Bookkeeper ready for the next stepProven success managing budgets, forecasting, and department accountabilityTechnicalStrong QuickBooks experienceDeep understanding of job costing, WIP, project GP, and construction financialsLeadership & StyleConfident working directly with Department Heads and ownershipComfortable holding leaders accountable to budgetsDetail-oriented, proactive, and business-mindedAble to "own the numbers" and drive financial discipline
