Senior Estimator - Wet Utilities & PipelineHouston, TXWe are partnered with a well-established, privately owned contractor in the Houston market seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimating efforts across their Wet Utilities and Pipeline division. This is a strategic hire as the business continues to expand its footprint across complex underground and pipeline work throughout the region. This role offers direct access to the executive team, ownership of critical pursuits, and a clear path into senior leadership as the division grows.A strong resume-building opportunity with genuine long-term career progression.About the roleLead estimating efforts for Wet Utility and Pipeline projects, including large and small diameter pipeOversee hard bid and alternative delivery pursuits across municipal and infrastructure workWork directly with the executive team to shape bid strategy, pricing approach, and division growthDevelop detailed estimates, take-offs, bid packages, and scopes of workManage subcontractor outreach, bid levelling, and final trade selectionIdentify risk, value engineering opportunities, and cost efficiencies during pre-bid phasesSet estimating standards, processes, and best practices for the divisionMentor and develop junior estimators as the team scalesSupport long-term planning and backlog development for the Houston marketQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred10+ years of estimating experience within Wet Utilities, Underground Utilities, or Pipeline constructionProven track record leading bids for complex civil infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of large and small diameter pipeline workExperience working closely with senior leadership and executive teamsAbility to balance detailed estimating with strategic, high-level decision makingStrong communication, leadership, and subcontractor management skillsWhy this opportunityLead and shape a key division within a growing, general contractorDirect exposure to executive leadership and strategic decision makingClear upward trajectory into broader leadership as the division expandsStable ownership structure with long-term investment in peopleCompetitive compensation, benefits, and long-term career securityIf you would like to learn more, apply or email me directly on .
