Construction Project Manager

Location: Goldsboro, NCWork Environment: Onsite / Regional Travel to Project SitesPosition SummaryA well-established commercial construction company in Eastern North Carolina is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of assigned construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed according to specifications, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company standards for safety, quality, and documentation.The Project Manager will lead planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, progress monitoring, financial tracking, and project closeout activities. The position reports to senior operational leadership and requires strong communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.Minimum RequirementsAssociate's Degree requiredMinimum 5+ years of commercial construction project management experienceOSHA 30, First Aid, CPR (or ability to obtain)Preferred QualificationsExperience using Primavera P6CQC Certification (USACE/NAVFAC)Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & SchedulingDevelop project objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource plansCreate and maintain project manuals, subcontractor/supplier lists, and progress schedulesManage submittal process and coordinate with design teamsRespond to RFIs and maintain accurate logsManage and track change order requestsImplementation & CoordinationCoordinate architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and field personnelSupervise and collaborate with Project Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, and Assistant Project ManagersMaintain effective communication across project phasesResource OptimizationOptimize labor, material, and equipment usageEstablish communication channels for problem-solving and conflict resolutionBudget, Quality & Safety ComplianceMaintain adherence to budget, quality, and safety standardsEnsure compliance with documentation requirementsSupport company-client communication and expectationsFull Project Execution (Start to Finish)Create work plans, staffing plans, and team objectivesMonitor construction progress and run regular status meetingsConduct site inspectionsManage closeout tasks including punch lists, post-mortem reviews, and documentationProject AccountingTrack project budget, expenses, and financial performanceAssist with billings for labor and materialsReview job cost reports and develop over/under analyses
