CNC Brake/Laser Operator 80% - CAD Designer 20%

Job BriefWe are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. A CNC operator must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metals and their properties is essential.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresDetermine the appropriate tooling and forming methods based on drawing requirementsSet up machines in according to specificationsMisc manufacturing processes. Package, Countersink, Time Save, deburr, Daily machine P.M.Align components using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces, etc.Assemble fabricated componentsRepair machinery and other components as neededCAD design (Solidworks) as neededMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyRequirementsProven working experience as CNC Laser Operator, CNC Brak Operator, & CAD (Solidworks) - 5 yearsExperience using a variety CNC fabrication equipment. Setup and calculation of bend deduction and part adjustments for material compensation.Experience adjusting CNC Laser/Brakes. Nest and sheet utilizationAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsUse measuring equipment. (Calipers & Tape measures)Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothingDeftness and attention to detailStand for long periods of time 6 - 8 hours a dayLift-up to 50-80 lbs.Able to obtain a forklift certificationTeam Player and ability to work overtime when required.
