OverviewUMH-Sparrow Lansing is seeking a highly skilled and dependable CRNA to provide independent anesthesia coverage at our Endoscopy Center beginning January 1, 2026, through Summer 2026. This position is perfect for experienced anesthesia providers looking for a stable weekday schedule with no call responsibilities. The CRNA will independently manage cases involving MAC anesthesia for adult and geriatric patients, supporting the department during a period of short staffing. The role offers a supportive environment with dedicated staff, engaging cases, and a focus on quality patient care. Required Skills Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certificationActive state licensure in Michigan or eligibility for licensureProven experience with MAC anesthesia in an outpatient or ambulatory settingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong knowledge of endoscopy procedures like EGD and colonoscopy, including biopsies when necessaryProficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) systemExcellent communication and judgment skillsNice to Have Skills Experience in endoscopy or outpatient anesthesia careFamiliarity with solo anesthesia cases involving adult and geriatric populationsAdditional certifications such as ACLS or PALSPreferred Education and Experience Master s or Doctoral degree in NursingAnesthesiaMinimum of 2 years of professional anesthesia experience, ideally in outpatient or endoscopy settingsPrior experience working independently in a clinical settingOther Requirements Credentialing completion within 60-120 daysAbility to travel to the facility; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rateOrientation fee paid at half the hourly rateAvailability to start on 01/01/2026 and work through Summer 2026Willingness to handle 10-16 cases per day, including EGD, colonoscopy, and combined proceduresThis is an excellent opportunity for seasoned CRNAs to showcase their expertise and provide meaningful patient care while working in a supportive environment.
