Now Hiring: Preconstruction Manager️ Preconstruction Manager | Commercial ConstructionMiami, FLOrtega Construction is a multifamily general contractor with a growing pipeline of work, seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support and drive the preconstruction process from conceptual pricing through contract execution.Role Description:This role is responsible for managing scope, estimates, coordinating consultants and subcontractors, working with the Senior Preconstruction Managers, and ensuring projects are financially and technically positioned for success before construction begins.Responsibilities:Assigned specific construction trades from Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, to GMP-level estimatesManage and participate in subcontractor outreach, scope development and bid levelingCoordination between multiple disciplines of design drawingsIdentify project risks and help develop requests for information, qualifications and value engineering effortsHelp develop preconstruction schedules, logistic plans and deliverablesHelp mentor Preconstruction EngineersContribute to project handoff to OperationsQualifications:3-5 years of Preconstruction or Estimating experience in General Construction for South Florida Commercial ProjectsCommercial Experience Preferred:Multi-Family: Hi-Rise and Mid-Rise (Apartments/Condominiums)Mixed Use FacilitiesHigher EducationHospitalityCharter SchoolsSouth Florida Market knowledge and subcontractorsStrong knowledge of construction means and methodsKnowledge of all construction divisionsExperience developing scope sheets and performing in-house estimatesFamiliarity and/or willingness to learn and become proficient with the following technology:On Screen Takeoff (OST)Bluebeam/AdobeSmartBidRS MeansProficiency with Excel, Word and Power PointDetail-oriented, organized, follow-up skills and comfortable working with deadlinesGood communication and writing skillsFluent in English is requiredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsFeatured Benefits:Medical InsuranceAuto ReimbursementPhone and Wellness Reimbursement401(k) Retirement Plan w/ matchingGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Company HolidaysVoluntary Dental & Vision Insurance
