H&K Group, Inc.,is looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to support public and private projects throughoutSouthern Delaware. The Estimator develops quantities, crews, equipment requirements, durations and costs. Subsequently then plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure goals of project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies Solicits and maintains positive relationships with potential and current clientsAnalyzes plans and specifications on various projects to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectPrepares and submits a quality estimate within the time providedSolicits bids and negotiates contracts with subcontractorsPrepares "New Job Folder Set Up" informationEvaluates and prepares pricing for change ordersDirects and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within prescribed budget, and provides advice to solve problemsOther duties as assignedQualifications Required Skills, Education, and Experience Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical schoolA combination of education and experience may be considered Five years of experience in Heavy Civil and Site Construction relevant to this regionDriver’s license and clean driving recordEffective verbal and written communicationProficient computer skills including internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project softwareAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) ?
