CNC Machinist/CNC Set-up Operator

Qualifications- CNC Machinist/CNC Set-up OperatorWe are a CNC machine shop seeking a skilled CNC team member who can contribute to high-quality, on-time production.the ideal candidate has hands-on experience in CNC machining and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and craftsmanship.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience operating CNC mills, lathes, and or Swiss machining in a production or job shopenvironment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsUnderstanding of GD&TProficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, height gauges, indicators, etc.)Ability to maintain tight tolerances and perform in-process inspectionsExperience with tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustmentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality partsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyReliable attendance and a strong work ethicAdditional Qualifications for Setup Machinists (Preferred):Ability to set up CNC machines from start to first article approvalExperience loading tools, setting tools lengths/diameters, and setting work offsetsAbility to prove out new jobs and make necessary program or offset adjustmentsUnderstanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and work holding methodsAbility to troubleshoot machining issues (chatter, finish problems, tool wear, etc.)Additional Qualifications for CNC Programmers (Preferred):Experience with CAM softwareAbility to create and edit CNC programs for mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machinesKnowledge of G-code and ability to make on-the-fly program edits at the machineExperience with fixture design or process improvementWhat we're looking for:Someone who takes ownership of their work and cares about part qualityA team player who communicates clearly and supports others on the floorA problem-solver who can think through setups and machining challengesWillingness to work in a small shop environment where versatility mattersTakes pride in producing quality parts, not just hitting cycle startCommunicates clearly about issues before they become problemsWorks well in a small shop environment where teamwork mattersWants to grow skills and take on more responsibility over time
