Ref #: C-LPN-Location: Waterville, ME Type: Contract (Non-Travel) Start: ASAP Duration: 8 weeks Schedule: 05:45 AM-06:15 PM Rate: $1,220 per 40 hours (local)We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of RNs and physicians to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing services.Requirements:Active LPN license in the state of MaineBLS certificationKey responsibilities:Provide hands-on nursing care including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and routine assessments.Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, treatments, and medication administration accurately and timely.Manage wound care: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure proper line function and site care.Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing as required.Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; respond to patient needs promptly.Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.Follow infection control protocols and safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies.Participate in emergency response, delivering basic life support and following facility protocols.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.Advocate for patient rights and ensure appropriate care and resources are provided.Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and comply with regulatory and facility policies.Perform other duties as assigned by management.This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
