Ref #: C-SLP-Location: Oakland, CAPosition: Contract/Travel - 13 weeksStart: ASAPSchedule: Mon-Fri, 08:00 AM-04:30 PM (36 hours/week)Rate: Travel $2,383/36 hrs; Local $2,347/36 hrsRequirements:Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state licenseKey Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and cognitive-communication.Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.Recommend, train on, and monitor augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed.Educate patients and families on home programs, compensatory strategies, and carryover techniques.Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.Reassess and modify treatment based on patient response and outcomes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) for coordinated care.Facilitate generalization of communication skills to daily living, school, or work environments.Maintain professional development and stay current with evidence-based practices.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
